Zealous Interiors sets itself apart from the competitors not just by our products, but also our focus on business ethics. As a company, we strive to reduce the impact of our operations. Our shipping labels, shipping bags & boxes, and copy paper are all made from recycled materials. Zealous donates its manufacturing scraps to local artists, or to be made into building insulation; which saves approximately 2-4 pounds of waste from entering a landfill every week. We recycle as much as possible and our upcoming retail facility will be environmentally friendly. We do our best to partner with suppliers that have strong business ethics and respect for our environment.
Development
Zealous donates money to building solar panels in developing countries. Since Zealous was only founded 6.5 years ago, we are not yet in a position to donate a large percentage of our sales. However in the past 15 months, Zealous has contributed over $1350 to developing countries. The amount we contribute will increase exponentially as both the company and the donation percentage increases. We currently make non-profit loans to Kiva.org, a site that allows anyone to make a no interest loan to a small business owner in developing nations. When our loan is returned, we reinvest right back into Kiva. We do however, add to the total amount of funding that’s in the system. Using this recycled loan method, a conservative $500 a year donation, along with 10% annual growth from the company, will provide approximately $43,8272 in non-profit business loans in just 10 years. In hope that we can make an even more significant impact, we will spread the benefits of this Kiva system to other corporations.
